[...] We couldn’t leave without mentioning Whisper To A Scream, the single she did with Bobby Orlando, which was featured in the immortal Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge. [...]
Do you know if Jesse transforms in Freddy or what? In the gym teacher and her sister scene it looked like it was just him using the glove. In the friend scene Freddy come from his stomatch, but it could be the friend and his nightmare. But the one that confusses me is the one in the party… Were all the teens high there? I mean…everybody was asleep are you kidding in a party? Or it was that or Jesse for real transformed into Freddy cuz I dont find another valid explanation to see why his childrens found him menacing.
Damn Quilty: I’m pretty sure it was possession/transformation, not nightmares. The first time Jesse changes into Freddy was in the gym. Watch closely and you’ll see Jesse disappear briefly as the steam accumulates, and then when the steam clears Freddy has taken his place.
Terrific review! Part 2 is the first Freddy film I ever saw. While the writing stinks, the Freddy make-up by Chuck Yagher is astonishing and the best in the series; Freddy is still scary as in the first film; and the acting, particularly by Mark Patton and Lisa Myers, is among the best in the series.
