The New York Post reports that American Psycho: The Musical has been in development for the past 2 years. The producers got the rights to adopt the novel by Bret Easton Ellis. The playwright Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa will supposedly have a first draft next year.
“There are murders, and they are on stage in full view of the audience,” Aguirre-Sacasa said. “An ax and a chef’s knife will be used. I think there’s going to be a lot of blood.” When asked who the play might appeal to, (composer Duncan Sheik) replied, “Obviously, it’s not for the people who want to see “Elf”
So when you go to return your videos, try to catch a show. Anybody in the first few rows might want to wear raincoats or some kind of plastic covering.
