Director Spencer Parsons is putting the finishing touches on his upcoming spoof of Saturday morning cartoons – it’s called Saturday Morning Massacre, and it’s a bloody parody of “mystery” centered cartoons like Scooby Doo.
Parsons and crew state the the horror flick will show the “consequences of meddling with the supernatural,” which we envision will be much worse than a ghost chasing Shaggy and Scooby back and forth across an animated landscape.
The synopsis: a team of amateur paranormal investigators take on a case involving rumors of suspicious disappearances and violent deaths related to an abandoned schoolhouse. The team decides to stay overnight, hoping to catch a ghost. Instead, they are faced with a sadistic family with an appetite for torture.
