Harry Potter, um, we mean Daniel Radcliffe, will be starring in a new horror movie coming soon called The Woman in Black. In the film, he plays a young lawyer who travels to a remote English village to settle a deceased client’s affairs. In the process, he crosses paths with the vengeful ghost of a woman. A Hammer Film production, The Woman in Black also stars Ciarán Hinds, Janet McTeer, Alisa Khazanova, and Shaun Dooley. It is adapted from the novel by Susan Hill, and is directed by James Watkins, who wrote the screenplay to Eden Lake and The Descent: Part 2. The film is scheduled to be released in February, 2012.

Susan Hill wrote the thriller novel The Woman in Black in 1983. It was adapted into a very popular stage play by Stephen Mallatratt, which still runs today at the Fortune Theater in London. A TV movie based on the story was also made, which had a screenplay written by Quatermass creator Nigel Kneale.
