Spidarlings, the creation of stage/film director Salem Kapsaski, is an upcoming LGBT horror musical and satire on the British welfare system. The producers call it “a blood splattered musical with gore, extravagant music numbers and a giant tarantula that alters the fate of everyone.” It has been filmed entirely in the United Kingdom with an international cast, and features music by Jeff Kristian.
Sophia Disgrace and Rahel Kapsaski star in Spidarlings
Eden and Matilda are a young lesbian couple who are broke and threatened with eviction by their landlord. Their benefits have been turned down and they struggle to become members of a society they never wanted to be part of to begin with. Matilda eventually finds a job in a nightclub called “Juicy Girls”, making a small living through keeping company with men who pay to have drinks and conversations with girls. She hates her job, especially the suffocating attention from one particularly obsessed, unhinged customer and working nights puts a stress on their relationship. Things get complicated when a serial-killer starts murdering the girls at the club. A horrific opportunity gives Matilda stolen cash, but the only way to pacify Eden is to let her buy a powerful tarantula spider, which changes their lives forever.
