V/H/S Trailer and Synopsis
New Found Footage Anthology Featuring Five Horror Shorts
V/H/S, the found-footage thriller that was shown at Sundance, will be hitting video-on-demand on August 31 before arriving in theaters (limited) October 5. Until then, you can check out the new V/H/S Trailer (redband trailer – NSFW) below:
V/H/S is a horror anthology featuring horror shorts from directors Adam Wingard (A Horrible Way to Die), Glenn McQuaid (I Sell the Dead
), Radio Silence (a group of directors including Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, Justin Martinez, and Chad Villella), David Bruckner (The Signal
), Joe Swanberg, and Ti West (The Innkeepers
, The House of the Devil
). The shorts are surrounded by a framing device in which petty thieves break into a home to steal a videotape for a very mysterious client of theirs. This wrapping device (directed by Wingard), called “Tape 56″, depicts one of the thieves watching some VHS tapes while the rest are searching the house.

Plot: College dudes try to hook up with some girls. One of the girls isn’t what she appears to be.

Plot: Dudes going to a Halloween party show up at the wrong house and find a woman being tortured. But is she really the victim?
Second Honeymoon
Director: Ti West
Plot: A couple’s road trip goes horribly wrong.
The Strange Thing That Happened to Emily When She Was Younger
Director: Joe Swanberg
Plot: A girl Skypes with her doctor/boyfriend and tells him that her house is haunted. The ghosts soon demonstrate that they are not afraid of Skyping.
Tuesday the 17th
Director: Glenn McQuaid
Plot: “cabin in the woods” type short featuring a killer on the hunt for college kids.
