V/H/S, the found-footage thriller that was shown at Sundance, will be hitting video-on-demand on August 31 before arriving in theaters (limited) October 5. Until then, you can check out the new V/H/S Trailer (redband trailer – NSFW) below:

V/H/S is a horror anthology featuring horror shorts from directors Adam Wingard (A Horrible Way to Die), Glenn McQuaid (I Sell the Dead), Radio Silence (a group of directors including Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, Justin Martinez, and Chad Villella), David Bruckner (The Signal), Joe Swanberg, and Ti West (The Innkeepers, The House of the Devil). The shorts are surrounded by a framing device in which petty thieves break into a home to steal a videotape for a very mysterious client of theirs. This wrapping device (directed by Wingard), called “Tape 56″, depicts one of the thieves watching some VHS tapes while the rest are searching the house.
