Dark Delicacies in Burbank, California is sponsoring a special clothing drive event that takes place during Women in Horror Month (February), and will feature Scream Queens and entertainment celebrities who are on hand for a meet-and-greet.

Date: Saturday February 12, 2011
Time: 2pm to 6pm (PST)
Location: Dark Delicacies store, 3512 W. Magnolia Blvd. Burbank, CA 91505

Appearing at the event are Elissa Dowling, Victoria DeMare, Monique Parent, Rachel Grubb, Eileen Dietz, Michelle Tomlinson, Mo Whelan, Reyna Young, Melissa Krimsky, Brooke Lewis and Tara Cardinal.

The Clothing Drive, also called “Strip for a Cause”, is hosted by actress Tara Cardinal, and will benefit the LA Chapter of Covenant House. Representatives from Covenant House will be on hand to collect donations. Covenant House California is a non-profit agency whose mission is to reach out to at-risk homeless youth living on the streets. Donations are tax deductible (Tara Cardinal will personally autograph your tax donation receipts).

Several Scream Queens are also offering discounts on their merchandise for sale to anyone who donates new or gently used clothing. Tara Cardinal will be offering autographed copies of her Warner Brother’s film Delivery for $5.00 to anyone who donates.

The Covenant House requests the following items:

  • Gift Certificates – from food stores, clothing stores, movie stores, book stores, restaurants
  • Every day Essentials (Large & Plus Sizes needed!), t-shirts, underwear, socks, gently used bras
  • Clothing and Accessories (Large & Plus sizes needed) – Professional and casual clothing for older teens and young adults – belts, ties, shoes, etc..
  • Personal Items – walkmans/iPods, jewelry, cologne/perfume, watches, bath and body gift packs, batteries, sunglasses

Dark Delicacies is also hosting a food drive. Non-perishable food items are welcome and will go to feed the homeless and hungry in Los Angeles.
