The fourth sequel (second prequel?) in the Wrong Turn series of movies has just finished filming in Bulgaria. Wrong Turn 5, which will make an appearance on DVD and Blu-ray later this year, features the return of Declan O’Brien as director (O’Brien also helmed Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead and Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings) and also sees the appearance of Doug Bradley, best known for his role as Pinhead in the long running Hellraiser series. It would appear that Doug Bradley has jumped from one straight-to-DVD franchise to another (newer) one.
In addition to Doug Bradley (who stars as “Maynard”), Wrong Turn 5 also features Camilla Arfwedson (“Sheriff Angela”), Roxanne McKee (“Lita”), Simon Ginty (“Billy”), Oliver Hoare (“Julian”), Amy Lennox (“Cruz”), Paul Luebke (“Gus”), Duncan Wisbey (“Mose”), Radoslav Purvanov (“One eye”), Georgi Karlukovski (“Saw Tooth”) and Borislav Iliev (“Three Finger”).
Just because they’re backwards cannibals doesn’t mean they can’t get 4G wireless.
A small West Virginia town is hosting the legendary Mountain Man Festival on Halloween, where throngs of costumed partygoers gather for a wild night of music and mischief. But an inbred family of hillbilly cannibals kill all the fun when they trick and treat themselves to a group of visiting college students who are dying for a good time.
The character of Three-Finger is played by Borislav Iliev, who also portrayed him in Wrong Turn 3. Wrong Turn 5 actually serves as a sequel to Wrong Turn 4 (and is the 2nd prequel to the first film). (Got that?)
Filming in Bulgaria for Wrong Turn 5 took 19 days. The movie will appear on DVD/Blu-ray in October 2012, from 20th Century Fox.
