The new zombie sci-fi thriller Patient Zero will make its theatrical premiere at the Splatterfest Film Festival, located at the Alamo Drafthouse Theater in Houston, Texas, on October 4, 2012.

The prequel to Humans Vs. Zombies (also directed by Brian T. Jaynes) will show the origins of the zombie apocalypse, starting with “Patient Zero.” The film is also set to be released on DVD through Hannover House.

Brian Jaynes will be present at the Splatterfest event to conduct a Q&A with audience members after the screening. Some of the film’s cast members are also expected to attend.

Patient Zero stars Brandon Slagle (Area 51 Confidential), Amanda Phillips (Sin City, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell), Carl Savering, Natalie Wilemon, Jackey Hall, Frederic Doss (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) and Van Quattro (End of Days).

The theatrical screening of Patient Zero will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at the Alamo Drafthouse, 531 South Mason Road, Katy, TX, 77450. Tickets may be ordered directly from the theater or from Splatterfest.

Hannover House has entered into an agreement with Origin Cinema Group for up to an additional six new features from Brian Jaynes, two of which are currently in production.
